Waterfalls and footballs

This weekend I headed up to a long-planned and long-awaited long weekend with Dan in New York. After a relaxing day and night in Syracuse of bowling and drinks with his friends, we headed up to Niagara Falls on Saturday. We stopped on the American side first to see the falls from that side (American, Bridal, Horseshoe), and to ride the Maid of the Mist, the boat that takes you right out to the falls amidst the roaring sound of the water, the giant rainbows, and watery sprays of mist that fell on top of our plastic ponchos.

Then we headed to the Canadian side and walked around the casino and some shops before having dinner at The Keg, a well-known steakhouse. We literally ran back a half mile to the hotel after the dinner (full of steak, shrimp, and mashed potatoes) to watch the LSU-Florida football game. We made it back breathless and cold, but we had only missed 30 seconds and one play.We ended up warming up in this huge jacuzzi tub in our room (yeah upgrade!).
